Group Blog
My group is constructed of me and my best friend, Samantha. We met in seventh grade and have been close ever since. I think our natural chemistry makes doing this project together much easier and more enjoyable. Our friendship also makes working as a team come with little to no complications. Since we have been friends for so long, we are on the same mental wavelength majority of the time. This means we won't experience many communication issues that could negatively impact the results of the project. It also should make the filming process easier to navigate since we both know how the other works. A good dynamic like this will also leads to our brainstorming process went very smoothly. This has already benefitted the project process because we both quickly agreed on a what product to do. So, we did not have to be bothered about possible conflicts about whether the other person approves an idea or not.
In our group, we both have specific roles we will fulfill. These roles are determined by how well we can complete certain aspects of the project in relation to our talents in life. For example, Sam is book smart, and enjoys theatre and drama. So, she will complete more of the parts of the project that involve documenting our progress for future reference or jotting down notes. She can also be a bigger contributor in the parts where acting is necessary, such as the filming process. I, however, have more artsy abilities, and expect to work on sections that call for such talents. This would include doing the drawings for the storyboard, and possibly editing some shots we get after filming. Both Sam and I consider ourselves to be musically inclined individuals. Therefore, we can both contribute equally to all the auditory aspects of the project. This lets us combine our abilities for certain parts of the work, instead of making one of us do a piece the other prefers to do and/or is better at.
