If You Fail to Plan, You Plan to Fail

 Props: 

Our music video is set in everyday life which means that our props are everyday items like a toothbrush, a car, a coffee cup, and a beach ball. 

 
 

Costumes: 

Our music video has two characters. The main subject will be wearing pajamas in the beginning, and then change to a swimsuit in a later scene. The other character will be wearing all black and a mask. Our actors will have their hair and makeup done in a natural way; however, they would usually have it done in the morning and at the beach.  

 
 

Schedule: 

On 11/11/22, our group researched the conventions and codes of pop music and Olivia Rodrigo music videos. 

On 11/14/22, our group established the props, costumes, schedule, location list, and backup plan for filming. 

On 11/17/22, our group will create the storyboard for our 1 minute 15 second music video. 

On 11/21/22, our group will film and record the shots for our commercial. 

On 11/22/22-12/16/22, our group will edit the footage and add the finishing touches to the commercial. 

 
 

Location List: 

Our first location is Macy's house, we will film scenes in her bedroom and bathroom. Our main subject will be filmed doing things like waking up and getting ready in the morning. Her bathroom mirror will be an important part of this filming. There is a tone of distress throughout the commercial and this is where we will set it up. 

Our second location is a Starbucks cafe, and its parking lot. Here we will continue the scene and film our main subject with a coffee and a car. Next, we will go to our final location at the beach. Here we will have more characters and use the beach down by the shore as well as the more sandy area further from the water. At this location we will be filming the climax of our scene and a confrontation, putting the end to the tone of distress. 

 
 

Backup plan: 

If the weather is not good or preferable, then we will find a new day to film. We plan to film over Thanksgiving break and all of us are the subjects of the video so we have all committed and there is no uncertainty if we have actors. If scheduling problems arise it could be a problem because Macy is traveling over break, however it should be fine because we have sufficient time before then to film. If any of our locations are closed or don't work we could go to someone else's house or a different cafe and beach.
