On the 26th, me and my group had planned to finish the second page of our storyboard in filming. This meant we had several components to complete. This included costume changes and a location change. Safe to say that we were booked and busy for the day! The scene that we were planning on spending the most time on was the beach scene. In this scene, the main character flees from her car and is transported to a beach filled with her friends. The main dilemma faced: how to get to the beach. Fortunately, we were filming at Macy's house. She lives very close to the beach and would've been able to get us there. If it weren't for the weather that day. The forecast was set to be cloudy and gloomy all day. This really affected our filming because not only was the lighting going to be poor, but the waves would be rough at the beach. Meaning that we probably could not go in the water, let alone be allowed to go to the beach at all. So, this meant that we needed a backup plan. We decided to ditch the beach and just film the "beach" scene in Macy's backyard that also has a pool. We could still show the main character having fun with her friends like we would have if we went to the beach. Also, we could still play in the water and play activities like throwing around a beach ball. So, we changed our costumes into swimsuits and other beachy attire and began to film in the backyard. The weather was still slightly cloudy, but it was significantly livelier than it would've been at the beach. Also, we were able to film without having to worry about being caught in the storm.
