Edits, People, Edits!
After the last week of November, most of our production was complete! We had followed our storyboard (and the changes we made to it). We successfully carried out costume changes. Plus, we navigated our way through unplanned weather changes. Even weather changes that led to location changes for filming. Most of these major changes had to be done in a week because Macy was going out of town on a trip with her family. All of our filming was being done at her house! We could not film without Macy because of this. So, we decided it would be best for us to film majority of the music video during the week before Macy left to avoid more unnecessary conflicts. However, this also meant that we had to discuss edits and if we would edit before or after Macy returned from her trip.
In our previous project, I carried out majority of the editing that was done. I have experience with editing software. Plus, I just enjoy the editing process, so I happily volunteered. However, we wanted to keep Macy notified as edits were being made. Even while she was in a different location. So, we decided that because Macy also has experience in editing, she can be in charge of it this time around. She used iMovie premium to get results that we all liked. While she was on her trip, she would send us different edits she made. This ensured that we were all a part of her creative process. Also, it made it easy for us to give notes and end up with a product that we all really liked!
