 Well, hello there! Welcome back to my blog. This week, I was able to film some more with my group! In my previous blog, I explained how I filmed the indoor scenes at my groupmates house. I got to see my group this week and we filmed some more scenes on top of this. We were able to film a good chunk of our other scenes. I directed all the scenes that we filmed on this day. First, I decided what scenes would make the most sense to film. I decided that we should first film the scene where Hunter and Kaz are walking down the street. So, we went outside of Hunter's house and onto the road by his driveway. I directed Kaz and Hunter to specific spots on the road. This way, it looked like they were actually walking somewhere, like it was described in the storyboard. So, I shot them from a tracking shot of then walking from the back for this scene.  Then, next my group and I decided to refilm a scene that we filmed the day before. Hello, reader! As always, welcome back to my blog! I am glad you were able to stop by again. There are a few thing that have changed since you were last here. For example, my group and I were only able to film a small portion of our short film yesterday. Today, we were planning on finishing the production, but we are all very busy with a studying for a test in another class. So, none of us really prioritized the short film getting made. However, I do want to finish it soon because I love the editing process that comes after production finishing.  Also, speaking of the editing process, it is very tedious. Since I am usually in charge of the editing of a media project, I am worried for a few reasons. One thing that I am worried about is that I will run out of time and not finish editing the final short film. Since the short film has to not look choppy, I am worried if we do not finish production fast enough and I have to edit a rushed piece of media, it will end up looking messy. So,...

Hello, and welcome back to my blog! As you know, I have been documenting my progress throughout the production process of making my short film with my group. Prior to today, I had not made much progress. Unfortunately, me and my groupmates are busy a lot of the time. This has caused the time we have to film to be scarce. But don't worry I have good news too. Today, I made some progress with my group!  Luckily, I was finally able to film some of the short film with my group. Over this weekend, my groupmates and I made it imperative that we got together and filmed. In some of my past blogs, I have explained how me and my groupmates all live pretty far away from each other. We have also been struggling to find a way to fix this issue. However, I realized yesterday that one of my groupmates, Kaz, just got his license! With this extra set of wheels, getting together on the weekends came a lot easier.   Here is an update on production for my short film. Don't worry, not much has changed. If you read my last blog, you will know that I have been working with my group to figure out how to align our schedules. But, I have not had much luck in doing so. I am busy a lot of the time, especially during the school week. This time, we tried to plan a day to film, but nature had other plans for us! Let me tell you what the original plan was. My groupmate, Hunter, has his own car, so he is going to be taking me and my other groupmate, Kaz, to all of our filming destinations. We were supposed to film all of the outside scenes together this past week afterschool, if the weather permitted. To our surprise, the weather did not permit at all. It rained all day and night! We could not film no matter how much we wanted to! Afterschool, instead of going to my house, we all had to go straight home because of this awful weather.  So, we lost yet another day of filming, but here is our plan to ge...

 Hello! Welcome back to my blog, I know it's been a while since I last posted! My group and I have been working towards filming and production in general. I am very eager to start production and follow our planned dates for filming. However, things have not exactly been going to plan up to this point. Several factors keep stopping us from being able to meet up for filming.  The main problem is that my groupmates and I are constantly busy. I am a junior in high school who has a very demanding workload. I, as well as my groupmates, are in Advanced Placement classes. These classes are very rigorous and take up most of my time outside of school and on the weekends. The reason for this is because these classes often give big tests that I need to study for all weekend to get a good grade on. This has prevented my group and I from being able to film because I am typically busy studying for these classes and have no time to film! Another reason why I have not been able to film with my...

Slide 1: The beginning of our short film where we meet our main characters and see what their personalities are as they try and cure their boredom. Slide 2: Where the first conflict is introduced. The characters are trying to find something to occupy themselves and turn to drugs to cure their boredom. Slide 3: The characters begin searching for any sight of a drug that will give them a rush, with dialogue being involved throughout this process. Slide 4: They find a bottle of pills but are torn and faced with the decision of if they should take the drugs or not. They even make a pros and cons list to come to a conclusion. Hey everyone, we all hope you are having a great day! For today's blog we will be giving you a layout about our general plan for filming our upcoming short film. This plan is not what we will definitely be doing, as things rarely ever play out the way they should.  Schedule:  On 1/18/24 we will purchase our props On 1/22/24 we will scout out our filming location On 1/22/24 we will create/buy our costumes On 1/25/24 we will begin filming  On 1/27/24 we will continue filming  On 1/29/24 we will finish filming  On 1/30/24 we will edit the film and make any changes needed  Location: For the location we had a few options. We first thought of filming at someone's house as the best option, as it is convenient and doesn't cost anything in terms of renting space.
